Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is nearing a deal to sell minority stakes in the team, Hard Rock Stadium, and the Miami Grand Prix. Ares Management is set to acquire a 10% stake, while Joe Tsai, owner of the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty, will purchase 3% through his family office. The deal, valued at $8.1 billion, would be the NFL`s first to include private equity investment since the league changed its ownership rules. Ross, who acquired majority ownership in 2009, is aiming for approval at the December owners meeting. While negotiations are ongoing and could change, this deal could set a precedent for future NFL valuations and ownership structures.
