SpaceX Capsule Arrives at Space Station for Extended Crew Rotation

Two astronauts stranded on the International Space Station since June due to safety concerns with their original Boeing capsule received a SpaceX rescue ship. The SpaceX capsule, carrying two other astronauts, docked with the station, and will return the stranded astronauts home next year. This extended their mission from a week to over eight months. NASA swapped the astronauts` ride after the Boeing Starliner capsule, intended for their return, experienced technical issues during an unmanned test flight. While SpaceX launches are on hold due to an engine anomaly during this mission, NASA remains committed to Boeing as a partner for future astronaut transportation.
