Elon Musk`s Neuralink company reported a successful second human brain implant. The patient, Alex, can now interact with computers in new ways, such as designing 3D objects and playing video games. The surgery incorporated improvements to prevent issues experienced by the first patient, ensuring implant stability. Neuralink aims to expand the device`s capabilities, enabling faster typing and communication for those with limited mobility or speech. Currently limited to patients with severe movement impairments, Musk envisions future applications for enhancing memory and other abilities in healthy individuals. The company plans to implant the device in more patients by year`s end as part of their ongoing medical trial.
