While President Biden`s economic policies have yielded positive results in many areas, inflation remains a significant concern for voters. Many blame Biden for the high cost of living, despite the fact that inflation was largely driven by global factors like the COVID-19 pandemic and energy market disruptions. Although inflation is now easing, a new Democratic candidate might benefit from not having to answer for it.
Pressure is mounting on Biden to withdraw from the presidential race due to concerns about his age and a perceived decline in his debate performance. Some Democrats are urging him to step aside, fearing he cannot defeat Trump.
Should Biden withdraw, Vice President Kamala Harris is considered the most likely replacement. As a less prominent figure than the president, voters may not associate her with inflation as strongly as they do Biden.
