Neuralink Implants Brain Device in Second Patient, Musk Says

Elon Musk announced that Neuralink successfully implanted its brain-computer device into a second patient. The procedure, which involved implanting numerous electrodes, reportedly went very well. This follows the first successful implant in a quadriplegic patient earlier this year. Neuralink aims to conduct ten such procedures this year. Beyond cursor control, the company is making progress in restoring limb function for paralyzed individuals. They are developing a system where a brain implant interacts with a spinal implant to stimulate muscle contractions. This technology has shown early promise in animal testing.
